Healthy Apple Crisp

Ingredients

4 C Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 Tbs Lemon juice
4 Tbs Honey, divided
1 tsp Cinnamon, divided
¼ tsp Cloves
¼ tsp Nutmeg
1/8 tsp Ginger
½ C Oatmeal
¼ C Whole wheat flour
¼ C Wheat germ
½ C finely chopped Walnuts (optional)
3 Tbs Olive oil

Instructions

Lightly oil a 9x13” pan. Place apples in pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Drizzle with 2 Tbs of honey and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix remaining spices with oatmeal, flour, wheat germ, remaining honey and nuts until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375ş for 35-40 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve with vanilla frozen or regular yogurt.

*Substitute pears for apples in this recipe for another delicious dessert. Add some cranberries for a festive touch.
