This moist and flavorful tarte is so simple that my five year-old and I prepared it in about 5 minutes. We used a combination of rye and rice flour. We also substituted five small plums (peeled) for one pear. Apples would also work very well.

1 large egg
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp sea salt
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
