Cold Sesame Swiss Chard Leaves

Put a little Asian flavour on your table with this cold side dish, inspired by Japanese and Korean spinach salads.

Ingredients

1 large bunch (2 small) Swiss chard
3-4 tsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp granulated sugar

Instructions

Remove stems from Swiss chard, and reserve for another use. Tear leaves into smaller pieces. In large pot of boilng, salted water, cook leaves for 1 minute. Drain in colander and rinse under cold water; press to extract as much liquid as possible. Transfer to bowl.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and sugar; pour over leaves and toss to coat.
