Spicy Rutabaga Saute

1 lb Rutabaga
1 large Carrot
1 Tbs Tamari
1 tsp Sake or White wine
1 1/2 tsp Honey
1 Tbs dark Sesame oil
1/4 tsp hot Red pepper flakes
2 tsp toasted Sesame seeds


Peel and cut the rutabaga and carrot into matchsticks. In a cup, mix together: tamari, sake or white wine and honey. Heat sesame oil in a heavy skillet. Stir fry carrots and rutabaga for 2 to 5 minutes until just crunchy. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and tamari mixture. Stir fry until liquid is gone, about 1 minute. Garnish with sesame seeds.
