Shinseiki Asian pears have a thin skin (easily marked, but don't let the marks concern you, as they don't affect the eating quality!), and a juicy, sweet crunch. Awesome lunch snacks! (eat like an apple)
Olympic Asian pears have a thicker skin (some like to peel them) and a sweet, crunchy flesh as well. Awesome sliced on a cheese plate, or can also be used to add sweetness and a bright flavour to winter salads, cole slaws, etc! Great on their own as a snack too...though you may want to peel them or slice them thinly, so you aren't biting into all that tough skin at once!
