Lisa's favourite way to enjoy black lacinato kale is with pasta!
First, toss the leaves (rinsed, tough centre ribs removed) into the boiling water before you cook your pasta (this way, you only need to boil water once, and the nutrients can be somewhat absorbed by your pasta after, and you only use one pot!). Remove with a slotted spoon.
Then, saute in a generous amount of olive oil with garlic, sea salt, black peppers, and red chili flakes, if you wish. Can also add to a saute of red onions, mushrooms, and peppers, if you prefer more veggies.
Make a bed of sauteed greens, and serve your cooked pasta on top! Works beautifully with fresh tortellini or ravioli!
