Quick meal or snack!

Start your oven at 375 to 400 F, as these are quick to prep!

Ingredients

1 x 440g Silver King FIRM Tofu
Bragg's liquid aminos (or low-sodium Tamari or Soy Sauce)
Nutritional yeast

Your favourite seasoning mix or try:

Smoked paprika
Garlic powder
Thyme
Fresh-ground Black Pepper + Sea Salt to taste

1 baking sheet (greased or lined with parchment)

Instructions

Cut the block of firm tofu into fingers. I usually cut the block into thirds lengthwise, and then cut across the block to make fingers/sticks. (about the size of a French fry or carrot stick)

Pour some Bragg's (or tamari/soy sauce) into one small/shallow bowl, and pour some nutritional yeast flakes into another bowl and toss with your seasonings to taste (a few shakes of each spice if you're making your own, or about 1/4 tsp total if using a blended spice mix). I don't specify the amounts, but you'll need enough to coat each stick - about 1/4 cup of Bragg's in the 1 bowl and about 1/4 cup of yeast flakes in the other bowl? (You can always add more to your bowls if needed, so start with 1/4 cup so you don't waste any, and then add more if needed.)

**If preferred, you can also use a bag for the yeast flakes and spices, so you can shake the fingers to coat.

Roll each tofu finger in the Bragg's/soy/tamari to moisten, then roll in the yeast/spice bowl to coat.

Place on baking sheet and repeat with all tofu fingers.

Bake at 375 - 400 F 15-20 min until golden and firm on the bottom, then flip and bake for 5-10 more min until golden and firm/crisp all around.

Serve with Antoinette's Salt Spring dip, any Little Creek salad dressing, or your own favourite dip (lime-garlic-cumin aioil is nice!), and you're set! Add steamed greens or a salad and baked squash or yams, and you've got a healthy, complete vegan meal!

**If you don't keep nutritional yeast flakes in the house, you could sub Panko or other bread crumbs for the yeast...but it's the nutritional yeast that makes them extra yummy, in my humble opinion!
