Please note: the lapin cherry trees have been treated with an organic pesticide spray to avoid fruit fly damage and the resulting worms. They ARE certified organic, so any/all sprays used are allowable under organic standards.
Lapins were developed in the 1980's at the Summerland Research station. They are large, sweet cherries, with a firm skin. These are "orchard run" (un-sized) cherries, so please expect some variation in cherry sizing, as well as the odd marking on the skin.
